The Museum's exhibits reflect the region's history that is rich in events. Many processes of the world history left their mark on the fate of the region. For the time being the Museum is practically the only possessor of an ethnographic collection devoted to Volga Germans which has begun to be actively augmented nowadays. The Museum's pride are unique archaeological complexes containing objects referring to the epoch of the Huns. The Museum possesses also the only gathering of painting by a distinguished artist of the Republic of Volga Germans - Weber. The gathering referring to the history and averyday life of various peoples such as Russians, Ukrainians, Germans, Tartars, etc belonging to different confessions, reflects the regions peculiarity. More than 20 exhibitions early take place here, sheddin light on diverse historical events and aspects of modern life
