The Museum exposition is devoted to the history and culture of the New-Nakhichevan Armenian colony.
The Museum is situated in the memorial complex Surb Khach (Saint Cross) which was built in the 18th century and is of republican importance. The publicist and philospher M.Nalbandyan, the classic Armenian poet R.Patkanian and the poet, teacher and public benefactor A.Alamdaryan are buried by the walls of the cloister Surb Khach.
There are unique objects in the exposition of the Museum: Khachkar (Stone Cross), medal with the portrait of R.Patkanyan, books of the Printing House of the cloister Surb Khach, the first one on the territory of Southern Russia.
The new exposition "The Armenian Apostol. Church on Don" devoted to the 1700th anniversary of adoption of christianity by Armenia is opened.
