    The museum tells about the Don Cossacs' History and the nature of he Don Region. There are many stoned remains of anymals and plants in the Section of the don Paleontology. In the Section of the Don Arheology you can see the implements of the primative man, things of the nomadic tribes' culture, the ancient Greeks' and Tatars' objects from tanais and Azak. In the section of Natue there are many stuffed animals, birds and fishes, which live in the don Region. The history Section occuies four rooms, where you can see various of armament of XVII - XX ages, military trophies of the Don Cossak, Tsar' deeds, the Troops' banners and regalia. The Artistic Section contains pictures of academician N.N.Dubovscoy (1858 - 1918), the fine collection of porcelain and furniture of XIX age. In separation room there is the unique exhibition "The Don Ataman's Portrait of XIX - XX centures".
