Description:
    Rylskiy Museum of Local History is one of the oldest cultural and educative institutions in the region. It was found by S.K. Repina - Moscow paintress, grandniece of famous artist I. Repin. The Museum was found on March 19, 1918, and on June 15, 1919 it was opened for visitors. It's the cultural and educative center of the town since the first days of work up to present time. There are more then 33, 000 exhibits in the funds. Exposition is placed in 14 halls. Rylskiy Museum is the owner of the unique collections of art, archeology, numismatics, rare books. Art collection is represented by pictures "Peter the Great on the field of Poltava Battle" by Pietro Antonio Vigi, "English Queen Charlotte Mecklenburg-Strelitz" by Allan Ramsay, "Landscape" by Francesco Casanova; sculptures "Diogenes of Sinope", "Nero"
