The name of A.V. Suvorov is the symbol of Russian military glory. His brilliant victories at Kinburn, Rymnik and Ismail over the Turkish Army amazed all Europe. The villade of Konchanskoye is situated in Novgorod region. Here the general spent the last two years of his life. Suvorov was retired and exiled into Konchanskoye. In 1940 a monument to Suvorov was erected in Konchanskoye and in 1942 a museum was opend. In 1975 in the building of an old churchman an exhibition entitled "Suvorov's Alps Campaign" was organized. The park and garden founded by Suvorov are still kept. In 1799 he left Konchanskoye forever.
