Description:
The museum is part of the Memorial Complex, which unites fortification constructed in 1812, a monument built on money, collected by the peasants of the village in honour of the Russian Army in the Patriotic war of 1812, of common grave of Soviet military men, perished during the period from October 1941 till December 1941. The exposition of the museum displays the period the Patriotic War of 1812 connected with the history of the village: that is Tarutino march-manoeuvre, the stay of the Russian Army in the fortified camp situated on the right bank of the Nara. The exhibit gives information about the preparation of the Russian Army commanded by Field-Marshal M.Kutuzov for the expatriation of the Army of Napoleon, about the partisans, the members of people`s volunteer corps, about the Napoleon`s offer to make peace with Russia, about the first offensive battle that took place on the 8th of October 1812 and ended by the victory of the Russian people
