Description:

The museum "Alexandrovskaya Sloboda" is a guardian of glorious history and lapsed grandeur of the Alexandrovsky Kremlin which was the uncrowned capital of Russia in the reign of the first Russian tsar Ivan the 4th.

The museum has preserved the magnificent architectural palace and temple complex of the 16th century and turned the objects and spirit of the Russian Medieval into a public treasure. The guests can visit 14 regular expositions placed in white-stone interiors and a lot of interactive excursions.

The main expositions of the museum are "Tsar's court in Alexandrovskaya Sloboda", "Medieval vaults of the 16th century", "The 16th century refectory, "Sennik postel'nij", "Alexandrovskaya Sloboda. Legends and true stories", "Tsar's Kvass Room" and others. They tell the visitors about the brightest pages in the history of the Kremlin connected with Ivan the 4th.
