Vladimir-Suzdal Museum-reserve was established in 1958. Within 60 years it developed from a modest provincial Museum into the world-famous "Museum Empire". Today the Museum includes 45 exhibitions in Vladimir, Suzdal and Gus Khrustalny, 8 exhibition halls, 65 monuments of architecture, 7 of which belong to the UNESCO World Heritage List: Golden Gate, Assumption Cathedral and St Demetrius cathedral of the XII century in Vladimir, Nativity Cathedral of the XIII century, St Euphemius monastery in Suzdal, XII century monuments of Bogolyubovo and Kideksha.

    Museum has several branches: in Suzdal including Museum complexes "Suzdal Kremlin", "St Euphemius monastery", the Museum of wooden architecture; annual Cucumber Festival in July; tourists are offered a guided-tour-office, souvenir shops, snack-bars, in Gus Khrustalny a unique collection of Russian cut-glass; guided tours, souvenir shop.
