Description:

The Museum reflects the whole history of the village Ostashevo from 1477 to the present day. It contains collections devoted to the owners of the mansion: N.N.Muraviev's family in which Decembrist Muraviev was born. Ostashevo is called "The nest of the Decembrists". Further on we find materials about the family of the grand Prince Konstantin Konstantinovich, a grandson of the Russian Tsar Nikolai I. He was a poet, composer, dramatist, interpreter. For 30 years he was at the head of the Russian Academy of Science, commander of the Preobrazhensky regiment. Here are represented the materials about the World War II.
