Near Peter Palase in the Krasnoarmeyskaya street is located the beatiful building of exotic architecture, in wich is located the Central House of aircraft and astronautics (CHA&A).

    The Central House of aircraft and astronautics of Russian defense sport technical society (RDSTS) is the successor and assignee first in our country of museum of an air profile, created November 6, 1924.

    The exposition of the museum is devoted to a history of domestic aircraft and astronautics from the moment of origin to now. In a museum are started and demonstrated the models of air and space flight vehicle, original piston and jet engines, samples of air arms and ammunition, and also author sculptural activities on aerospace subjects are demonstrated. It is told about battle experience both traditions of pilots of military and civil aircraft, about achievement of the aviator- sportsmen's, about development airplane, helicopter, parachute, plane, deltaplane and airmodel sports.

    The historical materials and museum rarities are located in chronological sequence.

    Under the aplications the survey and theme axcursion are conducted.

    In funds of library, int active of CHA&A there is a sientific and technical literature. In phototec the historical photodocuments are stored kept. In videointerior (videocabine) the popular scientific and art videofilms on aerospace subject are demonstrated. In CHA&A are carried out the scientific conference, measures devolted to anniversaries and the outstanding figures of aircraft, astronautics,air sports, meeting with veterans.

    There are clubs, section and other forms of public activity on interests with various category aviators, astronauts and member of their family's act.
