Description:
    The Museum named after P.A. Krivonogov was founded in 1997. One of the leading Russian painters of battle pieces, the Artist Who Told the World What the War Is, Pyotr A Krivonogov (1910-1967) was born in the village of Kiyasovo, Udmurt Republic. The first student and follower of the famous Soviet artists - Konstantin F. Yuon and Pavel A. Shillingovsky, he became a member of Studio of Military Artists n.a. Mitrophan B. Grekov. For the most famous painting "The Victory" the artist was awarded the State Prize of the USSR in 1948. P. A. Krivonogov?s battle pieces are widely recognized in Russia and abroad. In 1955 the artist obtained the title of Honored Arts Worker of the USSR
