Description:

National culture museum was opened in 19th of May 1999. The museum has been given the status of State culture institution. It was given a new building in 2010. The museum is in the centre of the town, which is an object of culture heritage. There was the first cinematograph "Orion" and city theatre of Belgorod. The museum has an exhibition hall, which demonstrates projects of federal, region, municipal museums and s of private collections. New permanent exposition is located in two halls. "The region town" is the first hall of the exposition, was opened in 2018. It is dedicated to provincial Belgorod of the end of 19 century to the beginning of 20 century. The exposition "World of the national culture" tells about traditional culture, the way of life of peasants, rituals and customs of our ancestors. Special pride of the museum is the unique collection of traditional female costumes, one of the best in Chernozemye
