The Regional I.V. Shodoev Museum in Ust-Kan village in Ust-Kansky region of Altai Republic is a department of the National A.V. Anohin Museum.
It was founded on the base of the School Museum in Mondur-Sokkon village, under the direction of the school principal N.A. Shodoev. Teachers and pupils, local people took part in its foundation. In 1981 the museum got its own building, where objects of the village history, ethnography (material and spiritual culture of Altai people), Great Patriotic War, the collective farm's history were collected there.
In 1994, the museum became the department of the National A.V. Anohin Museum. On February 2007, it was brought to Ust-Kan village, where it got a separate building. According to the regional session, it became the Regional I.V. Shodoev Museum.
Its collections represent material and spiritual culture of Altai people and the history of Ust-Kansky region
