The museum-exhibition center of the town Kogalym (Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Ugra) was opened on December 23, 2011. The exposition represents the integrated, harmonious combination of rare museum collections, the latest multimedia technologies and ingenious design solutions, providing the uniqueness to the museum.

    Open space exhibition reveals the unique picture of the North: iridescent Northern lights, wealth of nature; the symbols illustrating the conquest of Northern territories by a man: Ermak's boat, the real railway car and the tent of oilfield pioneers.

    The museum is equipped with up-to-date multimedia equipment and makes it possible not only to visit the past, but also to take a look into the future:

    - the hall of "TRANS-Force" interactive programs ("TRANS-Force" hall invites you to take a fascinating and educative virtual tour);

    - the cinema allowing to watch 5D films with dynamic moving platform and special effects;

    - the screen with "Living 3D markers" allowing to build virtually an oilfield and a town;

    - the hall of entertaining science where you can test the laws of physics and carry out experiments.

    Every day there are master classes in different activities such as painting, sculpture, arts and crafts.

    Nowadays, the museum is a science-educational, cultural and communication center for different people and a wonderful place for family rest
