The Museum of 112th (16th Guard) Bashkir Cavalry Division, the affiliate of the Fame Hall of the Republic of Bashkortostan, was opened in Dyomsky district of Ufa on May 8, 2005 in honor of the 60th Anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

    The main expositional hall is devoted to the glorious history of 112th (16th Guard) Bashkir Cavalry Division. This Division covered over 4 thousand kilometers from the Don to the Elba in action. Its flag was decorated with the Order of Lenin, the Order of the Red Banner, the Order of Suvorov and the Order of Kutuzov of the second degree. The expositions consist of genuine exhibits and replicas, captured equipment, arms. The visitors are attracted by dioramas, i.e. still episodes of sharp battles, in which waxworks and original arms are used.

    In one of the halls there is an exposition called "Allegiance to the military duty and the oath" devoted to the international soldiers. The museum possesses a rich photo archive that tells about the participants of the Great Patriotic War and workers on the home front and, generally, about the history of Dyomsky district. There is also an exhibition hall in the museum. As for public events they are held in the lecture hall.

    During the 5 years of its existence the museum has become the center of military and patriotic upbringing for the younger generation and the second home for the veterans of the Great Patriotic War. All the events in the museum are held with their participation. The museum works in close contacts with military and patriotic clubs, search parties. It maintains correspondence with the veterans living in remote districts of the Republic of Bashkortostan and keeps relations with their relatives
