Description:

The Museum-Theater "Bulgakov House" is the first museum in Moscow dedicated to the work of the writer Mikhail Bulgakov, which was opened on May 15 in 2004, and located on Bolshaya Sadovaya 10 on the very first floor of the house, where Mikhail Bulgakov first settled in Moscow.

This is not just a museum - it is an interactive art space with a mystical "fifth dimension", occupied by a permanent exposition on the life and work of Bulgakov, as well as temporary exhibitions of contemporary artists and various events constantly hosted by the museum. The Bulgakov Theater, named after the writer, was opened on the ground floor, underneath the museum, in 2011. Now, in its repertoire there are not only performances based on the works of Mikhail Bulgakov, but also modern and classical theatrical performances of other authors.

The Museum-Theater "Bulgakov House" is a member of the professional international organization ICOM (International Council of Museums)
