Description:
    The House-museum of T.S. Maltsev, a branch of Kurgan Regional Natural History Museum was opened at the birthplace of Terenty Semyonovich Maltsev in the village Maltsevo of Shadrinsk district Kurgan region in the house where the greatest Russian scientist of agriculture, Twice Hero of Socialist Labour, Honoured academician of All-Union Academy of Agriculture, the Winner of the State Prize of the USSR, Honoured citizen of Russia lived (1885 -1994).

    The opening of the museum was timed to the 50th anniversary of Shadrinsk agricultural experimental station which was headed by Terenty Semyonovich for 44 years. At that time the station was the first scientific institution of this kind in the country.

    In 2005 a new exhibition devoted to experimental and scientific work of the scientist and to the history of the collective farm was shown in the House of Culture in the village Maltsevo, the exhibition was dedicated to the 110th anniversary of T.S. Maltsev
