It's a unique exhibition complex of the Cold War times situated at 65 meters underground in the center of Moscow.

    Projecting of the object began in 40s of last century. In 1956 the object with the general square of more than 7000 m2 was taken over by the state commission and passed to the Ministry of Defence of the USSR.

    In 60s Bunker-42 was completely equipped with all requires in case of nuclear attack. The store of food, fuel, air regeneration and vent filter systems, a water supply system could provide the staff to be in ready alert during several months.

    At the end of 80s graduated reduction in tensions of nuclear confrontation became and Bunker-42 had lost its key value of defense potential support of the country.

    The museum complex Bunker-42 gives individual and group guided tours. Having come down to 60 meters underground you will appear in sometime one of the most secured war objects in the USSR. Excursion programs include not only a view of secured tunnels but also let visitors feel themselves like communicators, explore weapon models and communication equipment of the Armed Forces of the USSR.
