The Tver city museum-exhibition centre is created in May, 2007 and in June in one of centre halls the first exhibition has opened. In March, 2009 the centre was received by the status of municipal authority of culture and its work has proceeded already in three showrooms where various exhibitions from city to the international scale are monthly held.

    Settling down in the main street of a city, the centre, as a matter of fact, became the largest in Tver a specialised exhibition platform with already available both constantly got unique equipment and equipment for a similar sort of activity. In centre staff is about 40 employees: from experts-critics to workers technical and attendants.

    After major repairs all showrooms of the centre have considerably changed. Cosy halls are equipped by new systems of a suspension bracket and illumination of pictures, conditioners and equipment of the control of climatic conditions, there were plastic windows and new furniture, show-windows and the special exhibition equipment.

    On the basis of the centre there was a possibility of carrying out of art and specialised exhibitions, uchebno-creative work with children, beginning artists, photographers, masters of arts and crafts; conducting educational, of regional studies and art criticism work, and also carrying out of actions for the organisation of leisure of townspeople: creative meetings with known fellow countrymen, employment of clubs on interests, literary and musicales.

    The Tver city muzejno-exhibition centre was already grew fond by townspeople, well visited by various categories of the population - from schoolboys to veterans, from students to experts of the enterprises and the organisations, from fans of the fine arts to professional painters
