The Troitski district museum of regional ethnography was founded in 1980 in Troitskoe Troitski district. The founder of the museum was a regional ethnographer-lover, a professional historian Smetannikov A.D. In 1991 the district museum of regional ethnography was reorganized in the public house and worked on the special program "The regeneration of the traditional culture of the Russian settlement in Troitsk district on the basis of the historical past". On September 1999 according to the administrative decision of Troitski district the former status was returned to the museum. It was called the municipal cultural institution "The Troitski district museum of regional ethnography". Nowadays the museum represents 6 exhibits to the attention of visitors: "My native land", "peasantry and the way of life in the 19th and at the beginning of the Soviet period in the history of Troitsk district 20-30 th year", "They fought for their Motherland", "Natural resources of Troitsk district", "The Social and Economical development of Troitski district 70-90th years".

    The main fund of the museum consists of more than 5 thousand exhibits and 1 thousand subsidiary exhibits
