The museum, as a school, was created on a voluntary basis in the 60-ies of XX century. At the root of its creation was the teacher - local historian Yuri S. Orlov. Orlov U. S. engaged in excavations of burial mounds with the students. These findings formed the basis for the museum. In 1967. students and teachers Tyumentsevskaya high school specifically for the museum one-story brick building was built.     Since 2003. Museum became municipal institution "Tyumentsevsky District Local History Museum". Museum fund has no more than 500 items. Now the main fund numbers more than 4000 items. This ethnographic collection, arts and crafts, numismatics and other three rooms work in the museum: Hall of Military Glory, Hall of Soviet history, antiquity room. The highlight of the exhibits are models of architectural monuments of the district (the work of local architect V. Malygin) and paintings by local artist Alexander Nikulin (types Tyumentseva district center).
