Memorial Museum of the Great Patriotic War was opened on May 4, 2005 on the eve of the 60th anniversary of the Soviet people's victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-45. The exhibition tells about patriotism and heroic deeds of warriors from Tatarstan, combat roads of military units, formed in the republic. It presents uniforms, weapons, household items, specimens of military products, banners, binoculars, boards, compasses, battlefront letters, newspapers, books, leaflets, drawings frontline artists, photographs, maps, plans, posters, decorations, signs, medals. The emphasis is made on showing the memorial complexes of countrymen - participants of the Great Patriotic War. Among them there are unique museum pieces from the collections of Heroes of the Soviet Union: M.H. Syrtlanova, M.P. Devyataev, G.B. Safiullin; military weapons, personal belongings of soldiers, the battle standards of the regiments, the uniform of officers and generals of the Red Army with awards, trophies awards and weapons of the Wehrmacht, etc, which were brought from battle places.

    In the bases of the exposition of the Memorial Museum there are materials of the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan, military-search organizations "Snow Troopers" and "Fatherland", the republican organizations of veterans of the Great Patriotic War, the editions of "Memory Book" of the Republic of Tatarstan, the personal archives of the participants of the Great Patriotic War. The exhibition includes an electronic version of "Memory Book", which allows obtaining data on the dead and missing during the war
