    The museum was established under the UR government decree of the 2.02.2004 №314-R. Museum complex of small arm of M.T.Kalashnikov was opened on 4 November 2004 on the occasion of 85-year-anniversary of Mikhail Timofeevitch Kalashnikov. The exposition of the museum is dedicated to Kalashnikov, his professional occupation, and developed by him small arm. For the first time in Russia the museum exposition is created with effect that the hero speaks about himself. It was possible thanks to combination of representative line and multimedia support. The museum is supplied with the newest achievements of information technologies. There is the unique memorial collection of M.T. Kalashnikov in the exposition, plasma panels, multimedia projectors, and touch screens are placed here
