The museum was founded in 1967 by one student of local lore. During the years of its existence a lot of different materials on the history of Nekouz, information about the country estates and its owners were collected. There are information about the most famous country-menoritens, poets, scientists, doctors, teachers, the heroes of wars, who made a valuable contribution to the development of the country. The exhibits of the museum are numerous and interesting: archeological finds, home utensibs and clothers of the peasants, the cunrch vestments, the ancient musical instruments, the madehand goods of the local masters. The museum has a small library where you can find some information about Nekouz district. The exibitions are devoted to the memorable eventsin the history of the region. The exhibitions are changed once a year. The exhibitions of the decorative applies art are organized onca a year too
