Museum was founded in spring - summer of 2000 on the base of Natural History museum of secondary school №4 of Balesino.

    The permanent expositions of the museum tell about culture, economies, lifistyle of peoples inhabiting Balesino district, that is Udmurts, Russian, Tatar and Besermyan, about prerevolutionary history, participating of citisens in the civil and Great Patriotic War, local conflicts, about social-economic development of the district and the selflement in the XX century, about outstanding countryment, becoming famous in policy, science, arts, sports, about honored citizens. There are a lot of exhibitions on different top. The museum fonds include 2438 items, among them 1802 items of the mainfond. There is a besermyan folk ensemble in Yunda department. Whose members of museum took part in the work of somescience conferences. The museum is visited by 1,5-2 thousand people in every year.
