The exposition of the Literary and art museum tells about history of one of the most interesting cities of the peninsula - the Stariy Crum, ancient Solkhat, beauty and wealth competing to Baghdad and Damascus, - the city which arose on the ancient caravan track connecting Europe to India and China.

    In a museum exposition results of long-term archaeological researches in the territory of the city of both antique times, and medieval Solkhat, the capital of the Crimean ulus of the Golden Horde are presented. One of halls recreates an interior of a mansion of a country town of the beginning of the XX century.

    The exposition also acquaints with the unique materials connected with stay in the city of prominent representatives of domestic culture and science, among which writers A. Green, V. Okhotnikov, A. Tsvetaeva, V. Oseeva, poets G. Petnikov, Vs. Christmas, M. Bogdanovich, cardiosurgeon N. Amosov. Forever the Stariy Crum,entered life of the poetess Yulia Drunina and the famous film writer Alexey Kapler, whose ashes are based upon the Stariy Crum, cemetery.
