Gallery 21 was founded in 2010 by Ksenia Podoynitsyna. It is an exhibition space located in the center of Moscow, which presents the city works of contemporary artists. The gallery is oriented to the art of the future that is why it exhibits new Russian names and new opportunities of the Russian contemporary art market. One of the main targets of the Gallery is to teach how to understand language of the contemporary art, as well as to help the viewers understand the philosophy of a young artist.
Gallery's space allows to conduct activities not only connected with the exhibitions, but also organize round tables, discussions, artists' talks, where the viewer may communicate with an artist directly. Under the "art of the future" we imply the art that deviated from the standard visual image to the sphere of semantic effects, which induces the work with peculiar meaning.
Gallery 21 introduces Russian contemporary art to the global community. The founders of the gallery believe that Russia is a country with vast artistic potential, which is inseparable part of the global art scene. Gallery's strategy helps to develop a new intellectual environment, which attracts artists and also audience starving for intellectual development. Such synthesis forms a new convolution of aesthetic discourse in the informational filed of contemporaneity
