Description:

The gallery was founded in 1943. The original stock of the museum was not large and included only about 30 works, which mainly were drawing and engravings by Komi artists. Now the total fund of the Gallery contains about 6 000 items of Russian, Soviet and Western Eupean oil-paintings, engravings, sculptures and things of modern applies arts. the most spacious department is the collection of Komi art (about 2 000 exhibits)/ This fact confirms the national status off the Gallery and the peculiarity of its collection
