The Museum of crystal glass in Dyatkovo is inextricably linked with its history and collection with the factory of crystal glass in Dyatkovo, founded in 1790 by the famous Russian industrialists and philanthropists who had last name Maltsev. The year of foundation of the factory can be considered with confidence as the year of foundation of the Museum, which was originally a model room at the factory.

    Since 1976, the Museum has been located in a modern two-story building, accessible to all visitors. The main collection of the Museum has more than 20 thousand items, of which about 4 thousand are placed in the main exhibition of the Museum.

    The Museum collection includes unique items of interior decoration, gifts to famous people, products made of crystal glass, colored and colorless glass of various methods of production and decoration of the 19th and 21st centuries, as well as the largest collection of author's works of artists of the Soviet period in Russia.

    Objects in the second floor exhibition are placed on open podiums, there are no visual barriers between them and the audience. This makes it possible to see how plastic ensembles of objects organize the space, filling it with bright images
