Description:

The museum was founded in 1982 under the initiative of workers of the town. During the activity the museum has developed as a unique organism and has taken a worthy place in a cultural life of our town. Since September 1999 the museum has settled down in a building of the former State Bank where within the Great Patriotic there was Kharkov hospital. Collections reflect a history of our town from the first settlements up to the present, tell about natural resource, development of the railway, a history of the enterprises and establishments of the town, open development of Orthodoxy and display originality of culture and a life of peoples living in territory of Russia: Russian, Germans, Ukrainians, Byelorussians, Uzbeks, etc.
