Description:

This is the first Museum in Siberia, dedicated to the life and creative work of Nicholas Roerich and the Roerich family. The founder of the Museum is a student of N. Roerich in the second generation - Natalia Dmitrievna Spirina, who arrived in the USSR in 1959 from the city Harbin (China) to her historical motherland.

Construction of the Museum was made possible due to public donations, with the whole world, by the method called "people's construction". Contribution to the creation of the Museum have been made by about 50 thousand people and 869 enterprises and organizations. Currently the Museum is public and belongs to the Siberian Roerich Society.

The basis of Museum holdings consists of a collection of items once belonging to the members of the Roerich family and their followers B.N. Abramov and N.D. Spirina
