This museum is the district store of Polar rarities. There are more than three thousands items in the museum's funds. There are two large halls - a show and exposition, which are always ready to surprise the residents and visitors with a variety of exhibitions and unique exhibits.

    Names of famous people and their personal things are represented on the exposure: Konstantin Mihailovich Kosice, the discoverer of iron ore deposit, Olga Mihailovna Rimskaya-Korsakova, a granddaughter of the great composer, Alexei Ivanovich Sukhachev, the director of Kovdorsky mining and dressing plant.

    Among the numerous items - books, dictionaries of Kert, a famous scientist from Karelia. He was a linguist, researcher, expert on Baltic-Finnish and Sami languages.

    Our special proud is the collection of unique minerals of Kovdorsk array. Some of them - are endemic, which were found and discovered for the first time in Kovdor. They were named after the place of first finding and were not found anywhere else in the world
