Description:
    Gabdulla Tukai (1886 - 1913) is a great Tatar poet, one of the founders of the Tatar literature and modern Tatar language. His works have entered the golden fund of Tatar poetry and world literature.

    G. Tukay Museum was opened in 1986 in a so-called "Shamil's House", one of the most beautiful buildings on the territory of the Old Tatar settlement. In the exposition there are Gabdulla Tukay's memorial belongings, his lifetime photographs and published works, newspapers and magazines, in editions of which the poet took part, personal belongings and documents of people from the poet's surroundings, the G. Tukay's death mask. A part of the exhibition space is occupied by the materials of the age, including household items of Old Tatar settlement, on the territory of which the museum is located. The cultural life of Kazan late XIX - early XX centuries represented widely
