It was founded on the base of the Ussolue folk architectural - ethnographic museum in 1998 . It occupies the forer private residence of Golizyns princely family wich is an architectural memorial of the 1-st quarter of the XIX century and one of magnificent buildings of the architectural complex of the XVIII - XIX centures . The ensemble contains 42 memorials of the religions and civil architecture . Just these memorials , which need to be restored, draw , on the whole, the attention of visitons. The museum exhibitions narrate about the history of Ussolye, about the creation of its unique architectural look. There are renewed interiors of the XX centure on the upper floor of this two-stored private residence .
