The founder of the Museum Tamara Velikorodov began work on the formation of the Fund in 1995, at that time, the Museum had the status of a school. In 2000, the Museum received the official status in the form of a Museum-library, since 2011, the Museum received the status of a municipal state institution. The Museum specializes in the study of the Russian old-resident population in the Ob-Irtysh North. Since 2014 it has been named after the founder of the Museum.
