Description:

This museum was founded in 1991. There are about 6000 monuments in history and culture. The collection of the museum has things in ethnography, archaelogy, numismatics. It has photographic archives, slides, records and things of way of life. The workers of the museum are engaged in research. They study the padigree of the Pokhvistnevs, the Morndvinovs, the history of the streets in the town, cathedrials and villages of the district. The area of the museum is 120 square metres. The museum holds, the exhibitions of poumting and decorativa art, children's sontests. The museum has meetings with outstanding people and veterans of our region. 6000 people visit the museum every year
