Description:
    The Vereshagins' Museum is one of the world museums dedicated to great Russian artist Vasily Vereshagin and to his family. It is a country-seat with seven buildings, including 5 ones of the 19th century. One of them is the house of the Cherepovets district's marshal of nobility in which Vereshagin was born in 1842. This building was reconstructed for the 150-year anniversary of the artist. There is the exposition "Peace. Family. War". Original paintings and drawings by Vereshagin, copies of his work and family documents are presented in the Museum.

    The brother of the artist was famous for invention of the receipt of butter and foundation of the Russian mild industry. The Museum has the collection of his letters.

    Scientific workers of the Museum collected a science library and formed catalogue. There is the Centre of Arts for Children and the Chamber Theatre at the base of the Museum.
