Description:

Occupies the first stone building constructed in St.Petersburg (architects G.M.Fontana and I.G.Schedel) - the palace of the first city's general governor A.D.Menshikov. In the building the fragments of the original interiors of the XVIII have been preserved, among them the famous Dutch tiles. Exhibition of the State Hermitage Museum, dedicated to Russian culture of Peter I time, has been open to the public
