Description:

Founded in 1981, the Museum of History of Gubkin State University of Oil and Gas today has become an

educational and center. The exhibition devoted to the 50-th anniversary of the University served as the basis for the

first exposition of the Museum. The collection covers the history of the University development Starting from the time

when it was part of Moscow Mining academy to the present. Historical documents, photographs and exhibition

describing the life of notable scholars are on desplay. The memorial of I.M.Gubkin - the founder of the University

occupies a special place. The Museum offers a course of lectures on the history of Gubkin University to ferst-year

students
