Description:

The museum was organized in 1967. The exhibition shows the history of BMSTU, olderst technical university in Russia since 1830, when it was established, till our days. Now the University is one of the leading education and research engineering centres of Russian Federation. By Edict of the RF President issued on 24 January 1995 a Status of a greatly valiable object of cultural heritage of the RF peoples was conferred on the BMSTU.

The museum is situated in the architectural monument, former palace of Russian emperors.

The fonds of the museum include rare teaching books of XIX century, laboratory devices, and things which belonged to famous scientists and engineers such as N.E. Joukovsky, S.P. Koroliov, V.P.Barmin, V.N.Chelomey, different types of weapon, space suite of astronaute V.A. Soloviov, the badges of engineers graduated from BMSTU. The RF President V. Putin has open the museum's second hall in 2000
