The museum was opened in 1987 as a museum of the brilliant teacher and historical and portret painter, who was the creator of his own pedagogical system. Chistyakov was a teacher of the gratest master of XIX - XX century: Repin, Surikov, Vrubel, Serov. There are a lot of original works of fine arts in the museum and also in the Chistiakov's studio. At the exposition one can see a slide film, named "Pupils" and to learn about Chistyakovs cottage life story. The appearence of the house, its plans, intererior decoration, real things and masterpieces make this museum unforgesable. Music and literature concerts are keptat the cottage.
