A museum and exhibition hall of Mikhail Georgievich Abakumov, Russian national artist, correspondent member of the Russian Academy of Arts and honorary citizen of Kolomna was opened on May, 21, 2013, on the 65th birthday of the artist. The luminosity and airiness of his works made him a successor of Aleksey Savrasov and Isaak Levitan, put him in one number with Konstantin Korovin, Nikolay Romadin, Efrem Zverkov.
Russian national artist Mikhail Georgievich Abakumov with his creative works took part in the republican, regional and city exhibitions.
His personal exhibitions had great success in many Russian cities: Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Nizhniy Novgorod, Tambov, Ryazan, Vologda, Kolomna, as well as abroad: in Germany, Bulgaria, Italy, Japan, Turkey, Switzerland, Indonesia, etc.
Museum exposition is located in three halls –biographical hall, hall of drawings and hall of painting.
