The Severobaikalsk art gallery was founded by the decision of the Conjunction of artists of Russia on April, 14th 1979. For today the gallery collection includes more than 2000 works of art of all genres. Painting is presented by works of many artists, including products of the national artist of Russia A.M.Kamanina, the deserved artists of Russia of V.K.Nechitajlo, P.F.Rozina, А.И. Sokolov, N.N.Krapivin, S.K.Lanzy and other masters.

    Defined and the significant part of collection has been made by works of professional artists of Buryatiya, which represented construction of a Baikal-Amur trunk-railway. The collection of deemkovskoi national toy from Kirov is unique works of art of the winner of the State award of RSFSR as E.Z.Koshkina and other qualified art workers. Special value is represented by a unique decorative composition of glass, which was presented by Edward Lemb, the American gold-industrialist. The author of this work of art – the well-known American artist Domeniko Labini.

    Collection replenishment occurs at the expense of gifts of artists of our land. One of them - a member of the Conjunction of artists of Russia V.P.Kondakov, its creations are accessible in museums of Novosibirsk, Ulan-Ude, in private collections in Germany and Switzerland
