Picture gallery by V.V. Tichonov was founded in 1989. There is completed collection of the domestic art of middle of XX - beginning XXI centuries, filled with the works by the artists of Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Baku, ect. Certainly, the large part of the picturesque collection composes the works of the artists of the Altai. These are the remarkable collections of the oldest Altai artists F. Filonov, P. Panarin, S. Chernov and the best creations of contemporary masters. The uniqueness of the Altai, imprinted in the works of different genres of art, makes it possible to create diverse compositions. In 2004 gallery was engaged by 2nd place in the urban competition "Reward of Year" "For the best realization of basic activity"
