Description:
A house museum dedicated to Leonid Ivanovich Voinov, composer, organizer and director of a Russian folk instrument orchestra, was opened in Temnikov on 13th June 1969. The museum occupied the house built in 1954 on his parents' estate where L. I. Voinov had lived for the previous thirteen years. The permanent exhibition includes two memorial rooms where the composer's family lived and an exhibition hall with stands and showcases displaying photos and documents of L. I. Voinov's personal archive. In 1971, the house of L. I. Voinov's mother, Anna Nikolaevna, was reconstructed on the estate, the materials were transferred into it from the exhibition hall of the museum and a new, enlarged permanent exhibition was opened. The composer's house being vacant, the interiors of all the rooms were fully restored on the bases of his relatives' memories and using his personal things. This museum structure has been preserved till nowadays
