Description:

Achinsk's museum of local lore will celebrate the 115th unniversary in september 2002. It is one of the oldest museum of the Krasnoayrsk territory. There are 30 000 articles in the museum collections. 2100 articles are registed in the main found. The most important and interesting collections are coins collection, the archeological collection and the collection of ethnograghy. The unique objects are "polyphone", kuznetsov's china, militari armour.

The museum is situated in Mokrousov's former mansion. It was built in 1898 in the centre of the old part of the town. There are about 60 monuments of history and art in the city
