Description:
The museum is department of the committee of culture in the district administration. It was opened in May, 1989. The exhibits were delivered by way of the organization of summer searching expeditions. Today museum's foundations contain more than 4000 items. There are two permanent displays: "A flat of the 1950's" and "Ethnographical collection of everyday life's objects of the past". The most ancient exhibit of the collection is a fragment of the skull of a fleecy rhinoceros. The names of the inhabitants, whose contribution in the history of the district was great, are revered by the people. The museum tells about G. Titov, A. Toporov, A. Skurlatov and others through history lessons, meetings and different displays. Now the museum are preparing for anniversary celebration: eighty-fifth anniversary of the district's formation (August, 2009), ninetieth anniversary of the foundation of the agricultural commune "Maiskoe utro" ("May morning") (March? 2010), G.S. Titov's seventy-fifth birthday (August, 2010)
