The Museum is a state storehouse of monuments of material and spiritual culture of the Chuvash people. It contains more than 140 thousand exhibits: subjects of decorative-applied art of XVIII - XIX centuries, ornament of silver, embroidery, woodcarving, musical tools, the materials of natural-scientific fund, memorial complexes of scientific biologists, monuments of flora and fauna of the region, collection of excavation of epoch of bronze
