The museum is the only thing in Russia, devoted to life and activity of the scientist-miner. Creation of a museum of his name - a tribute of gratitude of townsmen to the outstanding fellow countryman, the first academician of Sarapul. House museum opening has taken place in January, 1987. The exposition is developed in the two-storeyed house where the family of Melnikovyh lived in the first quarter of the XX-th century. On the ground floor the interior of living rooms of parents of N.V.Melnikova is restored. The interior represents a characteristic life of a family of the shoemaker-home-worker of the first quarter of the XX-th century of Sarapulsky district of Viatka province. Documents are widely presented to expositions of the second floor, to a photo, personal things, proceedings, gifts to the scientist. Welcome to our Museum!
