The national Museum of the Republic of Bashkortostan, founded in 1864 by the provincial statistic commite is located in Ufa. In 1991 the Museum has removes. Nowadays it is based in the bulding being one of the monuments of architecture of the XX th. century. In 1992 it is openes for visiting again. New exposition display the clothes of peoples of Bashkortostan of XIX century, ancient dwelling of bashkirs-yurta and interior of Bashkir House things of decorative and applied art, the Museum collections contain more than 100 thousands of items. Some ethnographig things pretend to be uniquf-chothes of XIX century, headdresses utensihs made od wood and heather, woman's yewellery, the collection of Rade books includes manuscripts in the arab alphabet, slavonic books for church using, books of local importance with bebicatory inscriptions. Archaeolocical collections the gold and silver things of IV-VII centures, found ouring the building of the medical institute in 1936. Numismatic collection has many djuchie coins of 12-13 centures. Art collection contains paintings of D.Burluk, B.Domashnikov, R.M.Nurmuchametov.
